Turtle Watching

At night or early morning expedition, we will take you to Playa nombre de Jesus, where for thousands of years, the turtles that hatched have returned to lay their eggs.  Turtles are the largest marine in the world, weighing approximately 1.200 pounds and almost 8 feet long, and one of the most endangered. Our knowledgeable guide where you can see some of the turtles disembark to lay their eggs – from 80 up to 150 of them!

Playa nombre de Jesus has been home of one of the largest nesting locations in the Central America for turtles. Because of this, the area is heavily regulated to protect the habitat. Nesting seasons are typically between October and February. This is a wonderful opportunity to take the family out to see one of Costa Rica's most memorable experiences.
